SPECIAL GUEST APPEARANCE AT MR. GAGA SCREENING WITH JUDITH BRIN INGBER

Following the film, experience what dancers do to research and investigate movement possibilities to get ready for rehearsals and performance based on ideas of Ohad Naharin which he calls Gaga. The word is just made up of sounds, it doesn’t mean anything, like a baby babbling.  Judith believes we all can just feel movement and play around and enjoy movement even if we’re not professional dancers. In fact, there are now Gaga People Classes and Gaga Dancers classes. Judith will lead the audience in a seated dance instruction! JUST HAVE FUN!

Judith Brin Ingber taught for the Batsheva and Bat Dor dance companies from 1972-1975 where she first met Ohad – MR. GAGA, as an apprentice in 1973 for Batsheva while he was still in army fatigues as he had not yet been released from duty.  He would come to class, put his rifle on top of the piano, change into dance clothes, do the class, and when finished, changed back, picked up arms and returned to base. Ingrid is featured in the documentary MR. GAGA with Ohad during that time.
